This is the biggest bunch of Bull---- I have ever read. Every week we add someone drop some else. What the hell is training camp and preseason games for. I can't believe I have rooted for this F----up organization for over 40 years. They will be lucky if they are in the playoffs in ten years and in the Super Bowl in FORTY YEARS. EVER BODY on this forum could do a better job of drafting and running this organization the half wits we have. The steam is pouring out of ears right now.

Overview

Bass dominated the Division-II ranks, bringing a productive resume to the NFL with 56 tackles for loss and 39.5 sacks over his 50-game career. And playing next to FBS-prospects at the Shrine Game, he didn't look out of place.

However, Bass has to convince scouts he can make the move from outside linebacker at the Division II level to defensive end in the NFL, where he is being projected by most teams to play.

Analysis

Strengths: Good first step quickness and natural burst off the snap. Plays with springs in his legs with good vertical and lateral movements. Active hands to defeat blocks with good awareness to find the ballcarrier. Plays assignment-sound football and has developed his instincts. Motivated individual with an excellent competitive drive. Positive locker room presence with strong character on and off the field. Excellent career production with 39.5 sacks and 56 tackles for loss as a four-year starter.

Weaknesses: Room to refine his pass rush moves and hand technique to defeat blockers and shed. Allows his pads to rise off the snap and needs to show more consistent leverage. Some concerns about whether or not he is a hand on the ground end or stand up linebacker. All of his experience and production has come against Division-II level talent so level of competition is a question mark.

"I think he's worked very hard," Fox said. "(Linebackers coach) Clint Hurtt and (defensive coordinator) Vic (Fangio) have done a good job working with those guys and teaching them. I think sometimes new is better and he's taken to it pretty well.

Bass will be an OLB in our scheme, I think.

Essentially a replacement for Bishop, who got injured in his first game after coming back.
