Henry, I heard recently on "The Herd" that NE has 18 UDFA's on their roster.

18!

This isn't just DOUBLE most teams....it's TRIPLE!!!!

TRIPLE!!!!

They are far and away the team with the most UDFA's.

More than 1/3 of their roster!

More than ONE THIRD!!!!

Holy Buchsbaum!

Did they list them and their contributions? Were they NE finds or someone elses that NE signed as FA from their first team?

NOT UDFA
They are referring to fa from other teams mostly signed on the cheap

It was a radio show so there weren't a ton of details.

I think the point is "undrafted".

Im not convinced thats an impressive stat. It basically implies that they filled out their team with other teams players rather than their own rookie draft picks and undrafted free agents that they found

Sounds like bad drafting to me. What's the stats on NE's draft picks staying in the league a few years?

Agree...I'd have to look and see, but my gut impression is that NE hasn't really drafted all that well overall. Brady just makes up for so much. What other team would have as much offensive success with Amendola and Edelman as their starting WR?

On another note, the Jets have had a few very good undrafted players through the years...off the cuff I'd point to Wayne Chrebet, Brandon Moore, Robby Anderson, I'm sure there are others, but we always seem to find some here and there
