QUOTE(EM31 @ 02/6/06, 8:40) QUOTE(sbartlett7 @ 02/5/06, 14:21) QUOTE(EM31 @ 02/4/06, 23:53) Big win. A little bit of payback for last week. Flyers would still beat up these Rangers in a best of seven though. NOT beat up. The Rangers have the best young goalie in the league, play solid defense and are well-coached. They also have the BEST player in the world in Jagr. The Flyers may win a series against them, but it will be a TOUGH one. I am not suggesting it would be a runaway for the Flyers by any means. I am sorry if I gave that impression. The Rangers might even win in a best of seven. I think these last two games have shown me that the Flyers are the more physical team top to bottom. They would probably pound on the Rangers in a best of seven and in all likelihood wear them down. Have the NHL passed the trade deadline yet? If not ten perhaps the Rangers still have a chance to "muscle up". With the emergence of Lundquist I am wondering if Weeks' greatest value to the Rangers might not be as part of a trade. Perhaps. Weekes is really a #2 goalie. If I'm a contender, I wouldn't want him in big games. However, if someone wants him... -------------------- Change is here and its name is Mangini.

6-1 Rangers win. The Flyers dominated the first period, forced several penalties which the Rangers killed. Weekes looked very strong in goal, the Rangers were outshot something like 37 to 26 for the game. Rangers PP was very efficient, scoring their first 3 goals. Brashear was going after Kasperitus the entire game, but Kasperitus just turned away, a SMART move. Brashear had 2 penalties called on him because of number 6...the 2nd one he grabbed Kasperituses hair and pulled it to try and instigate him to get a matching penalty.
After the Rangers took a commanding 6-1 lead in the 3rd, Brashear again went after Kasperitus for a 3rd time. This time they exchanged words after the whistle, and Brashear just slugged him in the face....Kasperitus dropped and covered up immediately, Brashear went after him and a whole melee of pushing and shoving occured.... THe Flyers crowd was not in the game at all....absolutely ZERO chants the entire time from them....the only sound they made was sarcastic boos at the Flyers and real boos at the Flyers. Fun night for a Ranger fan in Philly. |

It was fun watching that punk goon dumbass Brassiere get himself an instigator penalty in the last 5 minutes of a game and then find out it costs the piece of garbage an automatic one game suspension and it also cost Coach Lardass of the Flyers a 10,000 buck fine. Business is going to be off at Philthy Krispy Kremes outlets as a result of that fat shit being out 10 grand

RIP Dana Reeve 1961-2006
Great Ranger fan... Who would have thought that her absolutely great farewell song at the end of Mark Messier night on January 12 would turn out to be her final farewell public appearance, ever. I made a contribution to the Christopher Reeve Foundation this morning. I wish I could do more |

despite the crappiness of the last three weak performances (should read Weekes performances) the Blueshirts can still clinch the division in Philthy today with a win over the Faltering Flyers.
There is a good chance that the Flyers will fall to the sixth spot and be the Rangers first round opponent as it appears they will be passed by the surging Devils |

The Flyers have whooped them a few times this year. But between the injuries and getting worn out late in games the Flyers have been a big disapointment this year (for the mongoloids in Philly). |

Its getting ugly. 3-0 Devils in game 2....after killing the Rangers in game 1.
John Madden just got his 2nd shorthanded goal of the game....helped in when the Rangers scored on their own goal. Yikes. |
